Polonia Golf
Club was founded in June of 2005 by a group of golf buddies: Igor
Matyjek ,Jerzy Kozera, Joe Mucha and Marcin Szostak. Their purpose
was to establish a club in which polish golfers would have an
opportunity to play together, improve skills, become knowledgeable in
rules and regulations of golf and promote the game among the Polish
community residing in Chicago-land area.
The Club was formed for all the golf players
who love serious competition and true sportsmanship.
There are 3 main events organized annually:
1. Challenge -
all season long competition.
2. Polonia Cup
- series of 9 tournaments ending with 2 play-offs at the end of the golf
season and crowning of the Polonia Cup Champion.
3. Ryder Cup -
challenge
between the CHICAGO
Team ( Podhale Golf Club, Polish American Golf Club and
Polonia Golf Club) and the
POLONIA Team (rest of the USA and Canada)
Twelve of the
best players from each Team play against one another in a two day
tournament.
Membership in our Club is free. We would like
